If you have an operators manuel and have read it then you know that IH did not say anything about limiting the use of the TA low side. If you have replaced your TA throw out bearing or had one in your hands then you would know that this bearing is just that a bearing. It is a sealed roller bearing and like anyother bearing is designed to rotate a lot. I have Three IH tractors with the mecanical TA. I use them a lot and if work load require the use of the TA all day long that what I use. I have 300 Farmall, a 400 Farmall Diesel and a 300 International Utility. I have rebuilt the TA on the 300U and the 400 Diesel with the HD sprague overrun clutch set up. The ramp and roller overrun clutchs were shot but the throw out bearing were still like new. I replaced them any way being as I had the tractor split. I don't know all the incorrect TA use information comes from. I had over 15,000 hours on the 1956 400D with the original TA until last year.
