In Fort Worth Star Telegram I have seen 806 advertised from 2900-6000. Saw a pretty nice 806 D Wheatland sell for 3000 last week. I know where a 806 LP narrow front is that the guy was asking 2000 but the NF killed it for me. Depends on condition and gas usually is cheaper than diesel. I have heard you need a tanker to follow you while plowing with a gas job. Never had a "big" gas Farmall myself. LP I wouldn't mind owning.
