By 1/2 turn, if the steering wheel and wheels straight, you can turn it a half rotation to the right before it catches, then if you go back to where you started, it takes about a half rotation to catch on the other side. We have tightened that nut and it helped some, but not a whole lot. The tractor we have had since new, and it has alot of hours on it. We are gonna take it apart sometime this spring/summer and see what we got. Thanks for the heads up about going to a machine shop instead of buying all them parts. Not worried about it being original, just need it to work so I can cultivate and cut grass alot easier. It's gotten to where it's downright dangerous to drive in 4th gear.
