In 1970 we drove our 1966 Oliver 1950 trtactor with 4-53 Detroit 100 miles from Nevada,MO to Springfield,MO.We pulled it in the 15,000 lb class at the 1st ever Ozark Empire Fair tractor pull, won it,and drove it 100 miles back home.It ran 25 mph at 3200 rpms and it was only 4 hours each way with my younger brother driving and me following. You guys may think I'm crazy but in the next couple of years I hope to buy a 1206 wheatland IH somewhere out in North OK,Southern NE,or in Kansas and for fun will drive it up to 500 miles home.Thats an easy two day trip with no problems.I know all the back roads to Western MO. Five years ago I bought a 1975 715 IH combine with 15 ft head and drove it 50 miles home on an Easter Sunday afternoon. It took 3 hours with no problems.I also drove another 715 IH combine 40 miles home.

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
