I used to do a LOT of road work with an H and Super H... They should get better than 7-8 mpg... maybe as high as 10-12... 2 gal. per hour divided by 16 MPH... and that's pulling a pretty good load. We used to pull 6000-10,000# loads of ground feed, shell corn, hay etc. all summer. Neighbor & I drove Our 4010 diesel home from the auction Dad bought it at... Diesel REALLY got good milage... 18 mph and about 1 gal. per hour... seems like it was 30-40 miles home too.
