A lot of the Hs had 5.50-16s. Firestone gives the overall diameter as 28 inches. 6.00-16 implement tires have about the same diameter. Remember you will have to reduce the diameter by twice the amount you wish to lower your front end. It is safe to assume your H has never had rear tires that were very much taller than the current ones. Replace your fronts with 5.50s (they will cost slightly less) and don't worry. Unless someone put the wrong front end on the tractor along the way it has made it 50 years.
