Do what you want but keep in mind, you know all about your cub now, the 450 may have some negative unknowns. I would bet you could find a 450 or equal tractor for less from an individual if you are patient and keep an eye in the classifieds. I know your dilemma, I get trading/buying on my mind and it consumes all my conscious thought, but I have learned more patience after getting burned a few times. If your cub is useful to you and you know it is mechanically sound, keep it. If you need a bigger tractor for somethings, look around and find a cheap one, fix it up and you will know all about it. Good luck either way but I agree with SOD, keep the cub.

Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
