Well, if you need to do any repairs, make a list and check prices - then double that list! I thought I could have my H running with a new engine for around $1200. Misc seals and bearings will catch up to you. Brakes cost $50 for each side, plus if you have to have the drums cut down. I have $1200 in my H right now, have yet to pay the machine shop and I need a different block because mine is cracked. Still, $300 for a 39 H is a good deal. BUY IT! You can certainly sell it for more than that. One of my H's had an original wide front which I sold for $400. Steven
