CD, I have two H's and have done the brakes on both ..both will slide the rear wheels on any surface and I mean asphalt as well. The bands last for years and adjustments are pretty simple, I wouldn't consider a brake swap personally, that's not to say you couldn't do it to be unique or for the challenge but if you think ordinary H brakes aren't servicable you need to set some up and you wouldn't be dissapointed.
