IH624 Muffler

I have a IH 624 (with the D206 diesel) that I recently replaced the muffler with an aftermarket "Stanley" (the price for an original replacement from IH/Case was much too dear!) - the model of muffler was an "IH-13" - although it fit ok I had alot of "black ozzing" at the muffler connection for the first couple of runs ... which strangely seems to have stopped by itself? Although I believe this model is actually for the "300" diesel, I was wondering whether or not this muffler is ok for the 624? (will it hurt it any by running with it?).
