I've been working for months to unstick one or several pistons from a '57 450 without any progress. Tried ATF, pentrating oil, marvel, in every brew known to man. More ATF, rocked her, more ATF, through this cycle for 5 months. So instead, I think I'll try this..pull the valve cover, remove the rocker arms, remove the push rods, then pull the head. Then pound the stubborn pistons into submission. I don't plan an overhual just yet because the engine ran well before freezing. Do I have the dissassembly process correct, and is the assembly in exact reverse order? I'll renew or grind the valves if necessary and generally clean-up.
