Level Plug on Super A Transmission

I must be working on my super A too long! I replaced the front input seal and gasket on the transmission after draining. The manual says it holds 5 quarts. I got it drained, but I removed the plug under the drivers deck, not the plug in the front by the brake cable. When I put the 5 quarts in, it seemed to be real low. Did I drain the finals too? I can't find a level plug on the transmission or final drive, only drain plugs. When I first took the top cover off the oil was right to the top. How do I know when I have enough in?
