Maybe yes, maybe no. Our ether injector jammed up on our 1256 one time when we started it and it really revved up before we managed to pull the wires off. So if your ether injection jammed before you started the tractor that could have done it, or someone could have vandalized it so that it would put too much ether in your tractor.

I don't think it would work to spray it full of ether during the night and wait till morning to start it because the ether would evaporate and/or run down into the crankcase within a couple hours.
