Once you have the steering shaft and mounting nuts and springs off, you will need to remove the fan shroud - a lesson I learned the hard way. The bolts on each side can be rusty and very difficult to remove. They may even break while you're fighting the nuts off. As a side note, the shroud on my '47 H is attached with two long bolts near the bottom and two short bolts sideways at the top. On my '50 H parts tractor, there are 4 long bolts holding the shroud in place. Set the shroud back over the fan so the radiator will lift straight up. Be careful to keep the radiator fins out of the back of the steering gear housing while wrestling it out of there.
