Farmall H Battery Location

All the photos of H's I have seen show the battery on the left side of the tractor under the fuel tank. The 1943 model I just bought for my wife has it on the right side under the seat. There is not a battery box per se, but there is a a bracket bolted to "floor board" that the battery appears to have once been clamped down to with a hold down of some sort. This appears to be a factory made braket. It does not look home made. Has anyone ever seen this before? Is this original?
