If you don't have to run the tractor on the road, those steel wheels will start looking super nice since you don't have to worry about flats or getting tires changed. I run steel on my 10-20 since it doesn't leave the farm and wouldn't put rubber on it for all the tea in china. It rides like a cadillac on soft ground ( unless you hit an underground rock)and only rides a little bit rougher on hard packed ground. It will acually loosen up hard packed ground! Traction isn't a problem unless you take off the cleats. If you are going to mow the yard with it, just take off the cleats and the skid rings.Sure will give the moles something to think about with the cleats on though!. With the prices of tires and finding good rims, steel seems the way to go unless you have to get it out on pavement. I have an F-12 that has 36" rubber on it and it cost $410 (I mounted them myself) for the tires and tubes, but it is the tractor I use when a pavement trip is called for.
