Mike, it's been a long time since I had brakes on an H apart so I don't remember if you need R&L hand bands or go if they go in opposite directions when you put 'em in. I'll check my parts book when I get home & post back tomorrow. I've also had to grind down the part of the band beind where the pins go as they wouldn't fit into the bracket correctly to let the bracket pull the band tight. Maybe thats your problem-the band has to bend to engage. Is the woodrift key in its proper place? (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
