756...worth the money?

I have a SMTA currently that has a new overhaul, new TA and new tires. I've rented 32 acres that I'm going to use for hay. The SMTA doesn't have power steering, fast hitch (or 3 pt) and limited power.
There's a retired farming lessing a 756 for $3750. It's tempting to buy it and less the SMTA, since the 756 has the ps, fh, cab, duals and it's diesel (german). The engine on the 756 is okay, but I'm sure it needs a overhaul at some point, which means $$$. Do I spend the money on the 756 or be content with the SMTA?
