Water pumps were an option right from the start in '48. Thermosiphen was a common method used back then. It worked good too. The "levers" You are refering to are the Rochshafts?? (Not the small ones the operator moves with his hands?) Early C's tended to have 3 (2and1) later 4 was most common(2 on each side) These Rockshafts can be interchanged. R.
