47 A firing order

I am posting this question for my Dad. What is the cylinder order in the block on a 47 A, is 1 closet to the radiator, and then in sequence to the gas tank, making the cylinder closest to the tank 4? Also if you look the distibutor cap, is the order there, 1,2,3,4 in clock wise order. It has cast into the block the firing order, and I beleive that was 1,3,2,4... Thanks for the help! Keith
