CT lists two heads for the A/B; 6716DB and 9052DA. Don't know what the diff is but I think some of the earlier ones had larger combustion chambers for distillate fuel (ie: a lower compression ratio). My parts book seems to indicate that the heads are interchangeable with the 9052 being the later replacement for the 6716. C heads seem to be fairly plentiful and will fit 251172Rxx (My '40 B came with a C head on it). I would guess that you could use any up to the change over to a 14 bolt head instead of the 9 bolt (I think mid 240 production). Your head should have a casting number though. If it isn't off the tractor yet, pull the hood and look on top between the valve cover and the exhaust manifold. Stan(VA).
