jal, wish we could share some heat from TX with you guys. It's not bad at all yet but July is coming like a freight train. We CAN share some grasshoppers with you if we get em this year. I will box you up some and ship them. We have been plagued with them for 3 summers in a row, some say they come in 7 year runs, others say 3 year. I have heard that we need a 4-6 inch freeze that lasts 3-4 days to kill them but we haven't even came close to that this winter. It was 12 two nights but not in a row and then it may be 35 the next night. They can eat a pasture or a hayfield in a few days. Cows cannot compete. Here's to hoping the 3 yr theory is correct but I ain't holding my breath.
