Terry, I find your comment about repolarizing your generator after each time you disconnect the batt, very interesting. For YEARS I've been going through new batts and have never figured out why. I've had the gen and starter rebuilt, new and correct sized batt cables, etc., etc. I've even polarized the gen but probably only once. Maybe I need to do it again. But I wonder why wouldn't the polarizing stay even after disconnecting the batt?! Do you suppose it would also change if the batt was completely dead but not disconnected?
