CD, Don't know exactly what the breaking point is, but had to move a large size block of concrete with mine. My contractor messed up with a footing and poured it too high. He dug it out after it cured and set it aside to repour correctly. I figure it was about 1/2 yard which would put it in the 1600-1700 pound range. The loader and tractor handled it fine except for the steering. Didn't want to turn very easily even with the power steering. Good luck with yours Mark
