Mark - I had the same problem with my Super H. Found several problems when I took it apart: 1 - Someone had been inside the front front end before me. When they put it back together they left out a spacer above the pivot shaft thrust bearing. This let the pivot shaft and sector gear ride about 1/4" too high in the gearbox. 2 - Both pivot shaft bushings were badly worn. This caused a good 1/16" of lateral play at the sector gear. 3 - The gearbox seal was bad letting the gearbox go dry inside. Replacing the bushings and seal, and installing a new thrust bearing spacer so the sector gear was again centered on the worm cleared up the problem. The tractor now steers like new. Punch below for a few pix of the job... Note: The sector gear on the Super H fits onto a tapered spline on the pivot shaft. The gear cannot be turned over. Don't know if the H is the same way, or if the gear is keyed on.
