why is my cub dead every other week ?

she was doing fine with the chores for a few weeks and one morning she had no power in the battery. well, i bought a new battery and about a week later she was dead again. could it be the generator, and how do i test to find out. im getting a little tired of charging one battery and useing the other. any ideas guys ????
