Hey! Great to hear this story. Just a couple hours ago, I buttoned up my valve cover and fired off my M with freshly adjusted valves. All 8 were incredibly loose. I could stick a wooden ruler between the rocker and the valve. I did it just the way "The Red" said, and boy does she run sweeeeeeet now. And the power! WOW!

The Case/IH dealer was closed today, so I bought a roll of cork gasket material and cut my own valve cover gasket. Seems to work fine.
