That 1066 we have is getting old but still going. She got a fresh engine and turbo a few years back and is expected to earn her keep for some time yet. When they brought her home new in the fall of 1973 my older brother's would not even let me drive her for about a year. It was our first diesel tractor and thy didn't trust a 14 yrs old on it yet. But I had already learned to disk and cultivate with the old 806 gas. Use to get me mad when they let my first cousin ,1 1/2 yrs older drive it. I thought I could run it as good as him. But since then have spent many hour driving a 1066 my favorite tractor. By the way we have three of them. Two 1972's and one 1973.
