There is a good chance one of your brakes has given up, and the remains are lying in the bottom of the trans case. After the tractor has set a while you can start it up and the hydraulics are fine. You run it a little and suck that crud up into the intake screen of the hydraulic pump and plug it, the hydraulics stop working. If you shut it off and let it sit,all that stuff falls off and the hydraulics will work briefly, when you start up again. I have seen this on a 574 and also on a JD 2040. In both cases the brakes were completly trashed, and the remains of the linings were lying in the bottom of the case.
