Scotty - Those brakes are easily serviced "in the field". Only tools needed are a 7/8"(?) socket + rachet to remove the cover bolts and a 3/4"(?) open end wrench to loosen the pull rod lock nuts. Some mineral spirits or couple spray cans of brake parts cleaner, an old paint brush, some clean rags and a couple sheets of coarse sandpaper (to remove the inevitable glaze from the iron braking surfaces) will be helpful too. Be careful not to drop the covers when you pull them off - they're heavier than they look and can make your toes HURT!
