This pto is off what I used to call a MUNCIE rock crusher transmission. It fits most Chev and GMC pickups etc from the 70's and early 80's. The exact transmission name escapes me at the moment but it's a 4 spd with granny low. The shifter came out of the top. This should bolt on the drivers side of the trans and the "drive shaft" should go to a pump that was used for pumping hydraulic fluid to raise snowplows, dump beds etc. All those old trannies, had a plate that was bolted to the left side. If you wanted a hydraulic lift then this device was added. The gears mesh into the counter shaft in the bottom of the tranny. You could engage the pto with the tranny in neutral. You never wanted to run the pto engaged when you were moving as the shaft speed got to high and things exploded at about 3000 rpms engine speed. This one has seen better days. If you use it, check the bearings on the shaft. They are probably rusted. They don't like being exposed to the elements.
