In the right front, lower part of the engine, you'll see a grey part(or red if painted), with 2 metal lines going into it. This is the hydraulic pump. What has (probably) happened is that the seal has pushed out and allowing hydraulic oil into the engine. You should be able to get a new seal from you Case IH dealer, and replace and should be the fix. It may have just pushed out, or it may be the result of a problem in your touch control(ex. sticking on high pressure). Not too hard of a fix, just be gentle putting the new seal in so you don't bend it, as once it starts going in, it's hard to pull it back out and start again w/out messing it up. Or you could take you pump to the dealer and they could probably install the seal relatively cheap I would guess. Hope this helps, and the seal is the only problem.

What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe.
