Did you take off the plug wires when you washed it??? If you did, when you put them back did you consider that the magneto rotates counter clockwise!!! The mag on the gas start diesels rotates opposite to the gasoline engines, makeing for confusion. I made the assumption on my MD, that it was clockwise rotation and it actually almost started that way, but it backfires and blows oil out of the air cleaner. Check that your plug wires are correct for COUNTER Clockwise rotation of the mag!
