Tim, You should see two areas that have a notch for the spring straps to lock into that are 180 degrees across from each other. Look on the outside of the cap for the number 1 maybe in a circle embossed into the cap the hole socket that is closest to that #1 is for the number 1 spark plug (Closest to the radiator) wire. Working clockwise around the cap looking at it from the seat of the tractor after #1, insert the #3 plug wire (third plug back from the front, then #4 plug wire, and finally #2 plug wire. Connect the primary wire coming out of the coil to the center hole. Now install the cap with that #1 wire at about the 2 o'clock position, lock the spring straps into their notches. There may be a shoulder on the rim of the new cover to fit into a matching notch on the distributor base they should fit together tightly. Don't forget to install the rotor and dust cover under the cap before you install the cap.//FB
