Wouldn't worry about octane in the letter series. My H was designed for distillate - I think 87 should suffice. The 706 and tractors with similiar engines are the only ones with that problem that I know of. We run 87 in our 544 and the timing is maxed out too - no problems yet. Don't worry about lead either, that's just another sales pitch for a useless additive. Steven
