I've plowed many acres with both. A pull plow is quick and easy to unhook and hook on to another emplement. A mounted plow will is faster on the ends and will let you get closer on the ends to say a fence or ditch. I have a model 39 IH two 16 two way plow called a tumble bug plows nice and level. I also plow with a IH fast hitch two 16 two way roll over plow. I don't have draft control on my 400 Diesel but the plow does have a depth wheel and the fast hitch will float. It also does a nice job of plowing but takes more time attaching with removing your drawbar and hooking up hydraulics. I don't know which one I would say I like better. If I get tired of pulling the trip rope I just use the mounted one for a while.
