Mike, I doubt that your mag is the problem. Mags are known for being robust and don't have the problems that distributor ignition have. Check out the ford "N's" board to see the problems they have with fords better idea. If it starts then the mag is at least usable. Once it dies, check for spark by hand cranking it and see if you don't still have spark. At the very most you just need a new coil for it available almost anywhere that works on mags. If you did have a coil ignition I would say that the coil was heating up and shorting out the primary windings, but Mags just don't do this very often. Check your fuel flow when it shuts down, sounds like you've got a blockage in there to me. E-mail me if need be and we'll get it figured out.
