Straight pipes generaly give an engine a little more horse power. Like hot rodders do with header type exhaust manifolds and no mufflers. Some say its hard on the exhaust valves , they close a little harder & faster.

Most engines need a little exhaust back pressure to run smoother. But what the heck try it, It should realy sound mean and tough with dual straight pipes. I hope you have a good pair of ear muffes to wear, If not you will soon be looking for a pair.
