temp gauge

I sure hope there is no limit to how many times you post a day!!! Sorry but I really want to get my tractor going today! My question is where does the wire from the heat sensor run to get to the guage on a 200? I have no idea because one of the previous owners of my tractor cut the wire at the sensor. There is a sensor and a guage just no wire between. I figure the temperature of your engine is an important thing to monitor. I have a whole new senor/wire/gauge from carter & gru something. Thanks for all your help in advance!!!!!
