As tempting as it might be to use solid wire, don't. When solid wire is used, the connection loosens up under vibration and will eventually come loose. I design (among other things) electrical wiring installations for aerospace applications, and solid wire is never an acceptable option for vehicle wiring. Okay, I'm off my soapbox. Hopefully The Red will drop by and tell you what size STRANDED wire to use. :o)
