If oil pumps had to be primed after an oil change or after sitting for long periods, why wouldn't they need to be primed every morning. Over night is a lot longer than it takes to change the oil. Whether you turn it on starter with ignition off or let it start, it will take the same revolutions of the crank to gain oil preasure. I have never until today heard tell of priming an oil pump and I am 59 years old. Will someone kindly tell me where this is stated in the operators manuel of Farmalls Super A and 130. If its there I have been doing it wrong for 45 years.
