What did you tell POTE2003 regarding the 6/12 volt identification. I just finished restoring my Dad's 47 H and had the same exact situation. In fact I now have a electrical problem. I rebuilt every thing on the tractor, including the generator. After I started the engine, which started and ran great, the ampmeter showed a full discharge. I shut things down, polarized the generator, recharged the new 6 volt battery, and restarted the engine. Same thing. The generator smelled a little hot. Now I am begining to wonder if the system had been converted to 12 volt. Thanks
