sounds like you need to put a new gasket on inbetween them. To do this you'll need to drain the gear lube from final drive, remove the pto (to get access to bull gear lock nut), then remove large nut holding bull gear to shaft. You'll need a few extra hands to do this too, the parts are large and heavy. Then loosen carrier bolts from final drive casting and pull the whole thing off! You should also remove the rear wheel from the axle before hand too. The gasket is cheap compared to all the labor involved to get to it! Good luck!
