Your "C" was built late in 1948. An unknown number of them were painted white at the factory and were shipped to dealers as demonstrators. After they had been used as demonstrators they were sold to farmers. There was a dislike by the farmers to the white color which made their new tractor look odd. Most of these white tractors were repainted red (the standard color)by the delivering dealers. You might want to research this further as you may decide to return it to it's orginal white color. There are some who think an orginal white one is worth more that a standard red one. ENJOY YOUR TRACTOR be it white or red
