I say gasket with no sealer... because if your rebuild goes anything like mine, you'll be taking it all apart again REAL soon. I was rebuilding the Zenith carb on my Case SC, and silly me thought the float adjustment measurment in the Owner's Manual / rebuild instructions were for the float/needle in the OPEN position. Turns out it was for the CLOSED position without the gasket on. (Makes just a bit of difference in how it runs, you know) I also had lots of trouble getting free travel out of the two floats without them binding up. The bowl gasket in the rebuild kit didn't come close to matching the old one, and I had to keep trimming the float area away until it was finally right. So frustrating... you could hear the floats moving back and forth until I tightened the bowl screws that LAST turn, and they would stick every time! Got it all figured out now, so I bought a spare carb to rebuild since I now have so much practice! I've taken it apart multiple times, and haven't had any fuel or air leakage around the gasket. Happy Tractoring, -Schotte
