the stuff at the pump is #2 the difference is it's low sulpher for highway use.you can use it straigh or use the additivies out there that claim to do the job sulpher used to.some guys even add type F transmission fluid at about 1 qt to to 50-100gal or so. Regular #2 for off road use is cheaper but are you going to burn through enough to worry about it?When low sulpher diesel was mandated several years ago evryone was running around crying about the horror and trauma that was to come,but it never did even in the older engines so it just became a non issue
