Steve, As RedDave said below...there is a nut on the front side of the adjusting bracket and another nut behind the bracket. If you stand on the generator side of the C, using a 13/16ths open end wrench on the front nut-raise up on the wrench to loosen it-you don't have to unscrew it all the way. There may be some junk in the slot below the back nut so clean the slot out so the fan shaft will drop down to its lowest point. Now work the fan belt off the pulleys. When putting the new belts on make sure you put the generator belt on first and then the fan belt. I use a long heavy duty screw driver under the back nut to raise up the fan shaft. When you get it to where there is about 3/4" flex in the belt in between the pulleys, tighten the front nut by pushing the wrench down. You may have to loosen the two mounting bolts on the bottom of the generator to allow is to swing in toward the motor for removing the gen. belt. Good luck.//FB
