The U-joint on my '47 H has a thick washer in place of a key. It is a tight fit in the keyway and slides through the slot in the yoke. The bolt goes through the hole in the washer and yoke to snug the whole thing up. This washer isn't an off-the-shelf item. It is flat ground on both sides to the right thickness.
