Hey all, First of all, thanks to all who have offered input on changing the fan belt/water pump belt on the Farmall H...yes, my knuckles are sore from splitting the Fan Belt Pulley Sheeve, but that job is done... When I started her up though, I noticed a lot of tiny metal flakes being blown about by the fan. At first I thought the fan blades were hitting either the radiator or the something else. Puzzled, I started checking everything I could think of - no dice, until I got frustrated and sat down and stared at the thing, baffled. While sitting and staring, I noticed that the flakes seemed to be coming from inside the generator/alternator on the pulley end...can this be right? Have any of you seen or heard of this sort of thing before? What might I be up against here? Thanks in advance, Pete in PA
