My '40 Farmall wouldn't start after I ran it out of fuel. I checked for spark and it was sparking, and then when I checked a little while later, no spark. I screwed with it for a day, checking points, coil wire, etc. with no change. I replaced the condenser and it started. After I mowed with it today, I shut her down, and now it won't start. Same thing, no spark. Although, when I crank it, once in a great while I get a spark, or s shock from the wire. could the codenser have died in less than 2 weeks? (The first one was only in there a year) How can I test it. If it isn't the condenser, what else could be going on? The coil and points were bothe replaced last year as well. Thanks a lot for any help.
